Pettus Eagles (Pettus, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Nordheim Pirates (Nordheim, TX), 55-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pettus upgrades its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Moulton (Moulton, TX) to play the Bobkatz in a 1A Region IV District 30 bout on Friday, January 19. The Bobkatz come into the bout with a record of 19-8. Moulton won 47-16 in their recent league bout against Nordheim (Nordheim, TX)

Next up, the Pirates play the Austwell-Tivoli Redfish (Tivoli, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 30 bout, on Friday, January 19. Nordheim will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record.
