The Escondido Cougars basketball team scored 24 points and held the visiting San Pasqual Golden Eagles to 16 in the Cougars league triumph on Wednesday.
The Cougars now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fallbrook for a contest on Friday, January 19. Escondido will battle a Warriors team coming off a 20-16 league win over Valley Center (Valley Center, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-3.
The Golden Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Ramona (Ramona, CA). The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Ramona was defeated by Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA), 67-9, in a league contest.
