El Diamante Miners (Visalia, CA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA), 5-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Miners face the Porterville Panthers (Porterville, CA) in a East Yosemite challenge, on Friday, January 19. El Diamante will attempt to better on its 10-7 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 0-0 league Golden West (Visalia, CA).
The Pioneers now have a 5-12 record. They take the field next when they host Monache for a East Yosemite challenge on Friday, January 19. Mt. Whitney will face a Marauders team coming off a 14-0 league loss to Redwood (Visalia, CA). The Marauders record now stands at 3-13.
