In Wednesday's league outing, the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC), by a count of 38-28.
The Mustangs (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 8-5 record. In their last outing, North Iredell defeated Statesville (Statesville, NC), 39-27, in a non-league outing.
The Warriors now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they host North Lincoln for a non-league outing on Friday, January 19. West Iredell will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 57-21 league win over Foard (Newton, NC). The Knights record now stands at 12-0.
