Santa Paula Cardinals (Santa Paula, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Foothill Tech Dragons (Ventura, CA), 55-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Santa Paula upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Fillmore (Fillmore, CA) to play the Flashes in a bout on Thursday, January 18. The Flashes go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Fillmore lost 50-40 in their recent league bout against Channel Islands (Oxnard, CA)

Next up, the Dragons play the St. Bonaventure Seraphs (Ventura, CA) in a bout, on Friday, January 19. Foothill Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record.
