South Lakes Seahawks (Reston, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Westfield Bulldogs (Chantilly, VA), 54-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Lakes upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Seahawks travel to James Madison (Vienna, VA) to play the Warhawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Warhawks go into the bout with a record of 5-5. James Madison lost 57-44 in their recent non-league bout against Oakton (Vienna, VA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Chantilly Chargers (Chantilly, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Westfield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 60-52 non-league win over Centreville (Clifton, VA).
