Oaks The Mighty Oaks (Opelika, AL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Abbeville Christian Academy Generals (Abbeville, AL), 68-61 in a league match.

With the victory, Oaks advances its record to 9-6 on the year. The The Mighty Oaks host Crenshaw Christian Academy (Luverne, AL) to meet the Cougars in a AISA A Region 2 match on Monday, January 20. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 1-7. Crenshaw Christian Academy lost 94-39 in their recent league match against Abbeville Christian Academy (Abbeville, AL)

The Generals now own a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hooper Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21.
