Virginia High School Basketball - Alleghany holds off Lord Botetourt

The Alleghany Cougars basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Lord Botetourt Cavaliers to 55 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now possess a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Glenvar for a Three Rivers game on Tuesday, January 21.
With the loss, Lord Botetourt falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA) to confront the Eagles in a Blue Ridge contest on Tuesday, January 21. The Eagles go into the contest with a record of 4-10. Franklin County lost 61-44 in their recent league contest against Fleming (Roanoke, VA)
