The Slidell Greyhounds basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Alvord Bulldogs to 42 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Friday.

The Greyhounds now possess a 20-7 record. They play next when they host Collinsville for a 2A Region II District 13 game on Tuesday, January 21. Slidell will play a Pirates team coming off a 55-46 league loss to Muenster (Muenster, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, Alvord falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Chico (Chico, TX) to play the Dragons in a 2A Region II District 13 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Dragons go into the game with a record of 11-15. Chico lost 65-63 in their recent league game against Tioga (Tioga, TX)
