The American Christian Academy Patriots basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting West Blocton Tigers to 35 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.

The Patriots now have a 3-15 record. They play next when they host Holt for a 4A Area 6 game on Thursday, January 23.

With the loss, West Blocton falls to 1-16 on the season. The Tigers travel to Prattville Christian Academy (Prattville, AL) to battle the Panthers in a 4A Area 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 21. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-13. Prattville Christian Academy lost 66-38 in their recent league challenge against Bibb County (Centreville, AL)
