Virginia High School Basketball - Amherst County overwhelmed by Jefferson Forest

In Friday's league test, the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), by a final score of 73-50.

Next, the Cavaliers clash with the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole test, on Wednesday, January 22. Jefferson Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the contest with a 8-3 record after their 60-58 non-league win over Salem (Virginia Beach, VA).

In their next game, the Lancers confront the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Amherst County will attempt to better on its 0-11 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 9-2 record after their 73-64 league win over Pulaski County (Dublin, VA).
