In Friday's league contest, the host Muscle Shoals Trojans basketball team scored a close 54-47 triumph over the Athens Golden Eagles.
The Trojans (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Arab (Arab, AL). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 10-14 record. In their last contest, Arab was tipped by Spring Garden (Spring Garden, AL), 65-61, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Golden Eagles confront the St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Athens will attempt to better on its 14-6 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 1-19 record after their 74-57 non-league loss to Wilson (Florence, AL).
