The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Mary Gaels (Rutherford, NJ) and the visiting Becton Wildcats (East Rutherford, NJ), observed St. Mary's basketball team overwhelm Becton by a score of 78-42.

The Gaels (9-2) will now prepare for their bout against Bogota (Bogota, NJ). The Buccaneers go into the non-league bout with a 4-5 record.

With the loss, Becton falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Lodi (Lodi, NJ) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 19. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Lodi lost 58-32 in their recent non-league bout against Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ)
