In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Bedford Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 83-72 triumph over the Sidney Cowboys.

The Bulldogs (13-0) will now prepare for their contest against Hamburg (Hamburg, IA). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Hamburg was topped by East Mills (Malvern, IA), 70-35, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cowboys battle the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights (Nebraska City, NE) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Sidney will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 4-9 record after their 49-40 league win over Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE).
