Mendez Jaguars (Los Angeles, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Belmont Sentinels (Los Angeles, CA), 64-53 in a league match.

With the victory, Mendez advances its record to 2-6 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Bernstein (Hollywood, CA) to face the Dragons in a Central match on Wednesday, January 22. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 13-2.

The Sentinels now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robert F. Kennedy Community for a Central match on Wednesday, January 22. Belmont will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 65-56 league win over Roybal (Los Angeles, CA). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-5.
