The Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles basketball team scored 76 points and limited the host Northeast Guilford Rams to 53 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Eagles now possess a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Guilford for a 3A Mid-State game on Saturday, January 18. Ben L. Smith will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 52-44 league loss to Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Northeast Guilford falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Lexington (Lexington, NC) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 21. The Yellowjackets enter the outing with a record of 6-7. Lexington won 69-57 in their recent league outing against Thomasville (Thomasville, NC)
