The Liberty Patriots basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Big Spring Steers to 34 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.

The Patriots now have a 20-4 record. They play next when they travel to Snyder for a 4A Region I District 5 game on Tuesday, January 21. Liberty will confront a Tigers team coming off a 47-40 league loss to Levelland (Levelland, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-19.

With the loss, Big Spring falls to 8-15 on the campaign. The Steers host Estacado (Lubbock, TX) to confront the Matadors in a 4A Region I District 5 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Matadors go into the game with a record of 20-6. Estacado won 110-46 in their recent league game against Lake View (San Angelo, TX)
