In Friday's league contest, the visiting Westland Cougars basketball team scored a close 58-56 triumph over the Big Walnut Golden Eagles.

The Cougars (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Worthington Kilbourne (Columbus, OH). The Wolves go into the Ohio Capital - Capital contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, Worthington Kilbourne nipped Westerville South (Westerville, OH), 52-47, in a league contest.
