In Friday's league contest, the visiting New Auburn Trojans basketball team scored a big 70-49 triumph over the Birchwood Bobcats.

The Trojans (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Clayton (Clayton, WI). The Bears go into the Lakeland - East contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Clayton smashed Cornell (Cornell, WI), 59-37, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Flambeau Falcons (Tony, WI) in a Lakeland - East contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Birchwood will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 10-2 record after their 51-48 league loss to Lake Holcombe (Holcombe, WI).
