In Friday's non-league test, the Blake Bengals (Silver Spring, MD) basketball squad trounced the visiting Northwood Gladiators (Silver Spring, MD), by a score of 77-32.
Next, the Bengals clash with the Sherwood Warriors (Sandy Spring, MD) in a Montgomery County - East test, on Saturday, January 18. Blake will attempt to improve on its 11-1 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 12-1 record after their 61-57 non-league win over Poolesville (Poolesville, MD).
The Gladiators (1-12) will now prepare for their test against Damascus (Damascus, MD). The Hornets come into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Damascus was routed by Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD), 49-39, in a non-league test.
