Illinois High School Basketball - Bloom knocks off Thornton

In Friday's league contest, the host Bloom Blazing Trojan basketball team scored a good 58-49 win over the Thornton Wildcats.

The Blazing Trojan (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 16-3 record. In their last contest, Lincoln Park defeated Eagle Academy II (Brooklyn, NY), 74-65, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL) in a non-league contest, on Sunday, January 19. Thornton will attempt to better on its 5-11 season record. The Hawks come into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 104-34 league win over Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL).
