The East Gaston Warriors basketball squad (Mt. Holly, NC), was crushed 89-58 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC)

With the victory, Burns advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC) to meet the Gryphons in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont battle on Wednesday, January 22. The Gryphons enter the battle with a record of 10-3.

The Warriors now own a 2-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherryville for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont battle on Tuesday, January 21. East Gaston will meet a Ironmen squad coming off a 83-35 non-league loss to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 1-15.
