In Friday's league contest, the host Calhoun Tigers basketball team scored a good 62-54 triumph over the Highland Home Flying Squadron.

The Tigers (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Hayneville, AL). The Lions go into the 2A Area 5 contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Central topped Highland Home (Highland Home, AL), 81-67, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Flying Squadron battle the Calhoun Tigers (Letohatchee, AL) in a 2A Area 5 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Highland Home will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 8-7 record after their 91-74 league win over Central (Hayneville, AL).
