Kentucky High School Basketball - Mayfield holds off Carlisle County

The Mayfield Cardinals basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Carlisle County Comets to 47 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now possess a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ballard Memorial for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18.

With the loss, Carlisle County falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Comets host McCracken County (Paducah, KY) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 9-7. McCracken County won 76-59 in their recent league game against Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY)
