In Friday's league contest, the host Central Catholic Raiders basketball team scored a good 72-63 triumph over the Lowell Red Raiders.
The Raiders (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Newton North (Newtonville, MA). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 10-1 record. In their last challenge, Newton North prevailed over Needham (Needham, MA), 50-36, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Red Raiders encounter the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans (Bridgewater, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, January 19. Lowell will attempt to improve on its 9-2 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 52-51 non-league win over Brookline (Brookline, MA).
