The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Upper St. Clair Panthers (Upper St. Clair, PA) and the host Central Catholic Vikings (Pittsburgh, PA), observed Upper St. Clair's basketball team overcome Central Catholic by a margin of 57-43.

The Panthers (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Canon-McMillan (Canonsburg, PA). The Big Macs come into the WPIAL 6A 2 challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, Canon-McMillan dropped by Imani Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 82-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Central Catholic will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 60-27 league win over Hempfield Area (Greensburg, PA).
