In Friday's league contest, the visiting Paul W. Bryant Stampede basketball team scored a big 69-40 triumph over the Central Falcons.

The Stampede (17-6) will now prepare for their contest against Wenonah (Birmingham, AL). The Dragons go into the non-league contest with a 15-7 record. In their last contest, Wenonah smashed Northside (Northport, AL), 78-59, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Dora Bulldogs (Dora, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Central will attempt to better on its 8-15 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 11-13 record after their 41-38 league win over Cordova (Cordova, AL).
