The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Chicago University Maroons (Chicago, IL) and the visiting Latin Romans (Chicago, IL), observed Chicago University's basketball team knock off Latin by a score of 58-44.

The Maroons (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL). The Colonels come into the Independent School challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Francis W. Parker was knocked off by IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL), 63-49, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Romans encounter the Timothy Christian Trojans (Elmhurst, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Latin will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 48-44 non-league win over West Chicago (West Chicago, IL).
