The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Truman Mustangs (Bronx, NY) and the visiting Columbus Sharks (Bronx, NY), observed Truman's basketball team overcome Columbus by a score of 73-62.

The Mustangs (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Walton (Bronx, NY). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, Walton dropped by Taft (Bronx, NY), 60-56, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Columbus falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Sharks host Evander Childs (Bronx, NY) to play the Tigers in a PSAL 3A Bronx I bout on Friday, January 24. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Evander Childs won 85-51 in their recent non-league bout against Roosevelt Educational (Bronx, NY)
