The Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL) basketball edged the visiting Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL), 55-52 in Friday's league bout.
The Pirates now possess a 11-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Zurich for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. Palatine will play a Bears team coming off a 49-48 league win over Warren Township (Gurnee, IL). The Bears record now stands at 9-9.
With the loss, Conant falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Fenton (Bensenville, IL) to play the Bison in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Fenton won 70-52 in their recent non-league bout against Larkin (Elgin, IL)
