The Pamlico County Hurricanes basketball team scored 41 points and limited the visiting East Carteret Mariners to 38 in the Hurricanes league triumph on Friday.

The Hurricanes now have a 2-10 record. They play next when they host Jones for a 1A/2A Coastal Plains game on Tuesday, January 21. Pamlico County will confront a Trojans team coming off a 65-25 league loss to Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-12.

With the loss, East Carteret falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Mariners host Southside (Chocowinity, NC) to confront the Seahawks in a 1A/2A Coastal Plains game on Tuesday, January 21. The Seahawks go into the game with a record of 3-11. Southside lost 56-42 in their recent league game against Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC)
