New Hampshire High School Basketball - Fall Mountain nips Newport

In Friday's league battle, the host Fall Mountain Wildcats basketball squad scored a tight 63-60 victory over the Newport Tigers.
With the victory, Fall Mountain advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Wildcats host Hillsboro-Deering (Hillsboro, NH) to meet the Hillcats in a Division III battle on Wednesday, January 22. The Hillcats enter the battle with a record of 1-8.
The Tigers now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kearsarge for a Division III battle on Saturday, January 18. Newport will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 57-46 league loss to Campbell (Litchfield, NH). The Cougars record now stands at 8-1.
