In Friday's league contest, the visiting Trimble Tomcats basketball team scored a good 55-45 win over the Federal Hocking Lancers.

The Tomcats (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH). The Buckeyes come into the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Nelsonville-York defeated Wellston (Wellston, OH), 54-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lancers battle the Green Bobcats (Franklin Furnace, OH) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Federal Hocking will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 58-32 league loss to Notre Dame (Portsmouth, OH).
