Alabama High School Basketball - Glen Iris Baptist thwarts First Assembly Christian

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Glen Iris Baptist Swordsmen (Birmingham, AL) and the host First Assembly Christian Lions (Ashland, AL), observed Glen Iris Baptist's basketball team knock off First Assembly Christian by a score of 48-31.

The Swordsmen (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Trinity Christian (Oxford, AL). The Tigers come into the Alabama Christian - II South challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Trinity Christian prevailed over First Assembly Christian (Ashland, AL), 51-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions encounter the Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions (Blountsville, AL) in a Alabama Christian - II North challenge, on Friday, January 24. First Assembly Christian will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record.
