North Carolina High School Basketball - Kings Mountain nudges Forestview

January 17, 2025: Kings Mountain, NC 28086

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) and the visiting Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC), observed Kings Mountain's basketball team edge Forestview by a score of 65-61.

The Mountaineers (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers come into the 3A Big South challenge with a 12-1 record. In their last challenge, Crest edged South Point (Belmont, NC), 69-63, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Jaguars encounter the Stuart W. Cramer Storm (Belmont, NC) in a 3A Big South challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Forestview will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 74-44 league loss to Huss (Gastonia, NC).
