In Friday's league contest, the host Franklin Panthers basketball team scored a good 66-56 triumph over the Milford Scarlet Hawks.

The Panthers (11-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lawrence (Lawrence, MA). The Lancers go into the non-league contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Lawrence was topped by North Andover (North Andover, MA), 68-56, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Scarlet Hawks battle the Oliver Ames Tigers (North Easton, MA) in a Hockomock contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Milford will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 8-4 record after their 46-43 non-league loss to Braintree (Braintree, MA).
