The Italy Gladiators basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Frost Polar Bears to 47 in the Gladiators league triumph on Friday.

The Gladiators now have a 16-9 record. They play next when they travel to Wortham for a 2A Region III District 18 game on Tuesday, January 21. Italy will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 50-45 league win over Hubbard (Hubbard, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Frost falls to 6-14 on the campaign. The Polar bears host Mildred (Corsicana, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region III District 18 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 12-7. Mildred won 65-39 in their recent league game against Dawson (Dawson, TX)
