Maine High School Basketball - Mattanawcook holds off George Stevens Academy

The Mattanawcook Lynx basketball team scored 65 points and limited the visiting George Stevens Academy Eagles to 59 in the Lynx league triumph on Friday.
The Lynx now have a 12-0 record. They play next when they host Woodland for a C North game on Monday, January 20. Mattanawcook will confront a Dragons team coming off a 61-41 league win over Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME). The Dragons record now stands at 4-8.
With the loss, George Stevens Academy falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Sumner (East Sullivan, ME) to confront the Tigers in a C North game on Monday, January 20. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 8-4. Sumner won 80-72 in their recent league game against Narraguagus (Harrington, ME)
