Virginia High School Basketball - Grayson County triumphant over Giles

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) and the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), observed Grayson County's basketball team overwhelm Giles by a margin of 53-11.
The Blue Devils (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Bears come into the Mountain Empire challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Bland County was trounced by Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA), 53-50, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Spartans battle the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) in a Mountain Empire challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Giles will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 76-56 league win over Galax (Galax, VA).
