The Glencoe Yellowjackets basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Southside Panthers to 51 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now have a 18-5 record. They play next when they travel to Piedmont for a 3A Area 12 game on Wednesday, January 22. Glencoe will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 62-49 league win over Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, Southside falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL) to confront the Wildcats in a 6A Area 14 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 15-6. Fort Payne lost 52-42 in their recent league game against Gadsden City (Gadsden, AL)
