In Friday's league test, the South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) basketball squad defeated the host Glide Wildcats (Glide, OR), by a final score of 52-39.
Next, the Lancers clash with the Sutherlin Bulldogs (Sutherlin, OR) in a 3A Far West test, on Friday, January 24. South Umpqua will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record.
The Wildcats (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Douglas (Winston, OR). The Trojans come into the 3A Far West test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Douglas overcame Coquille (Coquille, OR), 52-25, in a league test.
