In Friday's league test, the Greenfield Knights (Wilson, NC) basketball squad trounced the host Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), by a score of 89-33.

Next, the Knights clash with the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 18. Greenfield will attempt to improve on its 20-7 season record. The Nighthawks come into the test with a 7-6 record after their 54-52 league win over Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC).

The Eagles (4-12) will now prepare for their test against Epiphany (New Bern, NC). The Falcons come into the NCISAA Coastal Plain test with a 4-14 record. In their last test, Epiphany was routed by Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC), 80-35, in a league test.
