In Friday's non-league contest, the host Grinnell Tigers basketball team scored a big 61-31 triumph over the South Tama County Trojans.

The Tigers (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA). The Vikings go into the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Vinton-Shellsburg was trounced by Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA), 73-62, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Meskwaki Settlement Warriors (Tama, IA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. South Tama County will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 0-7 record after their 89-41 non-league loss to Baxter (Baxter, IA).
