Mississippi High School Basketball - Senatobia holds off Independence

The Senatobia Warriors basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host Independence Wildcats to 51 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Friday.
The Warriors now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Byhalia for a 4A Region 2 game on Tuesday, January 21. Senatobia will confront a Indians team coming off a 72-57 league loss to North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS). The Indians record now stands at 4-14.
With the loss, Independence falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS) to confront the Hawks in a 3A Region 2 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 9-11. Holly Springs lost 66-47 in their recent league game against Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS)
