In Friday's league contest, the host Pine Tree Academy Breakers basketball team scored a big 58-30 triumph over the Islesboro Central Eagles.

The Breakers (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Valley (Bingham, ME). The Cavaliers go into the D South contest with a 10-0 record. In their last contest, Valley smashed Forest Hills (Jackman, ME), 94-59, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Richmond Bobcats (Richmond, ME) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Islesboro Central will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Bobcats go into the contest with a 6-4 record after their 54-38 league loss to Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME).
