Texas High School Basketball - Tyler succumbs to Jacksonville

In Friday's league test, the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians (Jacksonville, TX) basketball squad defeated the visiting Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX), by a final score of 66-49.

Next, the Fightin' Indians clash with the Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 test, on Tuesday, January 21. Jacksonville will attempt to upgrade on its 13-15 season record. The Bobcats come into the test with a 20-8 record after their 63-50 league win over Marshall (Marshall, TX).

The Lions (15-10) will now prepare for their test against Lufkin (Lufkin, TX). The Panthers come into the 5A Region II District 10 test with a 27-2 record. In their last test, Lufkin overcame Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX), 70-27, in a league test.
