The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the St. Maries Lumberjacks (St. Maries, ID) and the host Kellogg Wildcats (Kellogg, ID), observed St. Maries's basketball team overcome Kellogg by a score of 56-48.

The Lumberjacks (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Priest River (Priest River, ID). The Spartans come into the 3A Central Idaho challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Priest River defeated Grangeville (Grangeville, ID), 63-53, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars (Post Falls, ID) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Kellogg will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record.
