Maryland High School Basketball - McDonough triumphant over Patuxent

January 17, 2025: Pomfret, MD 20675

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD) and the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), observed McDonough's basketball team overwhelm Patuxent by a score of 65-25.

The Rams (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Wolverines come into the Southern Maryland challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, Westlake was routed by Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD), 57-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Patuxent will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 75-59 league win over Eleanor Roosevelt (Greenbelt, MD).
