The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH) and the visiting Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (Nelsonville, OH), observed Meigs's basketball team overwhelm Nelsonville-York by a margin of 92-47.
The Marauders (12-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Frye (Beverly, OH). The Cadets come into the non-league challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Fort Frye trounced Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV), 55-42, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Buckeyes battle the Trimble Tomcats (Glouster, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Nelsonville-York will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 55-45 league win over Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH).
