In Friday's league contest, the visiting Wylie Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 62-55 triumph over the Memorial Mavericks.

The Bulldogs (13-9) will now prepare for their contest against Cooper (Abilene, TX). The Cougars go into the 5A Region I District 4 contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Cooper was tipped by Legacy (Wichita Falls, TX), 30-27, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mavericks battle the Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Memorial will attempt to better on its 11-16 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 16-10 record after their 55-52 league loss to Wylie (Abilene, TX).
